Welcome to The Aspen Lodge!
We are a Guest Ranch in Alpine, Arizona at 8,000 ft in the White Mountains. We are not the Arizona that one thinks of as dry, flat and desert.... we have four distinct seasons and the terrain is rugged and lush, being a part of the scenic Mogollon Rim. There are Ponderosa Pines, Blue Spruce, Fir, Aspen and Oak trees, lakes, rivers and a ton of wildlife, including elk, deer, bear, wolves, lions, bobcat, bighorn sheep, wild horses, javelina, turkey, bald eagles and more. The opportunity to see game in the White Mountains is unsurpassed and we are right in the heart of Unit 27, the best hunting in Arizona. Whether you like to hunt, fish or take photographs, this area is an outdoor paradise.
The beautiful Aspen Lodge was built in 1959 and sits on 20 acres backed up against Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. New owners, Joe & Dyan are renovating, remodeling and adding some fun activities for guests such as horseback and carriage tours. It is a magical, quiet place surrounded by wilderness, yet only a mile from town. It is not unusual to have a herd of 50 elk come strolling through the property, right outside the windows. This is a slice of heaven that we love sharing with our guests.
We hope that the Aspen Lodge is your first choice when staying in the White Mountains. Hospitality is important to us. Please let us know if we can be of any service to you and your family during your stay. |
